PBL ( Project Based Learning ) Trip

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.

We went on a class trip on Monday first we took a bus to Margret mahe playground then we walked to our four different activity's we would do focus on our PBL (Project Based Learning) we are focusing on How can a building be the heart of the community. The four different places we went where
1. Imagination station
2. Hillveiw 
3. Core Education
4.  BizDojo 
After going there we went to Margret mahe playground and spent the rest of the day It was so much fun we also done a scavenger hunt at the playground.

Team Building

Team Building

This week we have been doing team building in our home bases. We had four challenges to complete. We had one on Monday one on Tuesday one on Wednesday and one on Thursday.

Team Building Challenge 1 Marshmallow and pasta.
we had to make a free standing tower out of marshmallows and pasta.

Second challenge was to make the longest paper chain out of 1 meter of tape and a A3 paper.















Third Challenge was to make a stretcher out of news paper tape and string.

Couldn't find a picture of us making the stretcher.


Fourth challenge was to stack cups in a small tower without touching them with our hands or cloths only using a rubber band and some string.

My Step Up Writing

My step up writing.This a piece of my step up writing that I've been working on , it's not finished yet. But I'll keep working on it. This is my first paragraph. It's meant to be a little bit of a comedy.

The Three kittens

🐈🐈🐈Once upon a time there lived three kittens their names were Lily , Ruby and Tom they were really small kittens about the same size as your palm.They were going to build themselves houses. They were so excited. Lily the youngest kitten she was as white as snow so she decided she  would build a house out of snow. Ruby the middle kitten had so many colours  so she decided to build a house from rainbows.The oldest kitten Tom decided to build his house from dogs.They were ready to go on there adventure. On there way to the market to buy their supplies for their houses  they sung a song (I'm going to buy a rainbow i'm going to buy some snow i'm going to buy a pile of dogs off we go).

                  

Family Treasure

This is my Family Treasure speech.

In PBL (or Project Based Learning) we have been learning about family culture and history. This is a story about my family. It's about my great grandfather's bible that he took to the second world war.

Here it is:

My name is Freya and this is my great grandfather's bible that his wife Mary gave to him on the 11 of March 1939 before he went to the second world war.

My great grandfather's name was Edward. His wife's name was Mary. Edward was a private in the 6th battalion of the Highland Light Infantry or the HLI.

Inside the bible he also kept small individual prayers. The bible is nearly 80 years old and was given to my dad when we moved to New Zealand by my granda.

In fact my great grandfather never wore trousers until nearly the end of the war. He wore shorts at school, joined the army and was given a kilt.
